Mapping the discussion about Karima Baloch
Karima Baloch, a Dissident associated with the BSO Azaad was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Toronto, where she was living in exile. It’s interesting to note that she was one of many named in the EU Disinfo Lab report on how she was used by the enemy to spread propaganda against Pakistan.
Once the news of her mysterious death broke on Social Media, it did not take long for SAATH members and their associates to blame the ISI of taking her life. This is like their allegations against the State when Sajid Husain died in Sweden earlier this year. However, in that case the Swedish Police did not find any foul play and closed the case.
I looked at the conversation surrounding Karima and made network graphs of the keywords: @KarimaBaloch and Karima Baloch.
Please note that this is a filtered graph and only shows some of the more prominent accounts. Some were tagged (such as the Disinfo EU) while others discussed Karima. The label for Justin Trudeau has a huge font because he has been tagged by several people asking for an investigation. Karima is also featured because she is the centre of discussion. It’s interesting to note that the usual suspects are part of the discussion, with exceptions such as Shahid, Naikrooh, etc.
The account for Anshul is prominent because his tweet went viral and that’s why you can see that he is the largest node in this discussion. There are several people in this graph who have tweeted Negatively about Pakistan. The UN and UNHRC have been tagged along with Canada and Justin Trudeau.
Once again this is not the complete picture and only shows the most prominent ones. Due to hardware limitations and other issues, this has been filtered but still gives one an idea of what is happening.
One wonders why a Baloch dissident was so important for the enemy. There is more discussion about it next door, than Pakistan. It is very easy to connect the dots.
